| My dog is sometimes sick and has diarrhoea but isn’t ill, is it his diet? |

Vomiting or diarrhoea is a way of discharging build ups of waste in the dog’s system thus helping to cleanse the system. There may well be a sub-clinical disease present. This behaviour is typically associated with feeding low-quality pet food; changing to a better feeding regime will usually solve the problem. Many owners find that the dog vomits in the mornings. The owner may be told to feed the dog more frequently. This is often successful in stopping the vomiting but this will not solve the problem, as it is a superficial solution. |
